Release Notes

This release includes the ability to specify a Query Override value (CAML query) in the Web Part properties. When a Query Override value is specified, you can use {placeholders} in the CAML, to enable as many Data Connections as you like.

An example usage of this: you can add a Filter Web Part (say, a QueryString Filter) to Provide data on the fly, and the then consume that Filter's data in the Query Override, to specify only pulling out data in the underlying data source of a given Title, or any other field that is available in the Content Query Web Part's source data.

Reviews for this release

I tried this Webpart on SP 2010, and it didn't run. After deploying it and added to a test site, the webpart runs on an error and could not create an object of a List. Deleting the webpart from a page it did not delete the assemby registration, and leaves this artifact on the page! It could break the Application! Deaktivating, retract and uninstall did not fix this issue!
